Presenters and Program

I. Cutting Edge Use of Transcranial Photobiomodulation (tPBM) and Bi-Lateral Tactile Stimulation (BLS): Mechanisms of Action and Innovation in Clinical Applications

Dive into the science behind tPBM and BLS, including mechanisms of action, EEG pattern changes, clinical integration with therapy/neurofeedback, contraindications, and ethical considerations. Learn applications for specific patient populations.

The topic will earn you two (2) CE credits and will be presented by Dr. Serin, PhD, BCN.

The main objectives of this program is to help in:

  • Describing mechanisms,
  • Identifying EEG changes; and
  • Applying to at least 2 populations.

II. A Novel Experiential Therapy Technique: The Layered Symbolic Narrative (LSN)

Discover the innovative, cross-cultural experiential method using layered symbols and metaphors to process thoughts, emotions, trauma, addiction, grief, and more—drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy and Psychodrama principles.

The lesson includes live demonstration and will be conducted by Erin J. Buggy, PsyD of Pyschological Counseling Services in Scottsdale. This will earn you two (2) CE credits as well.

The main objectives of this program is to help in:

  • Defining LSN,
  • Describing its implementation stages; and
  • Identifying the impact of symbolic objects across diverse clients.

III. Shifting Paradigms: Integrating Somatic, Energy, and Cultural Therapies to Address Medical Trauma

In this lesson, you’ll explore a holistic, trauma-informed framework which incorporates somatic, energy psychology, Ayurvedic influences, and cultural humility to heal medical trauma. It primarily addresses epigenetics, intergenerational effects, and inclusive practives for diverse communities.

Dr. Sarette Zecharia, PhD, DCEP, C-EHP, CIHMP of Lighthouse Psychology will be facilitating this lesson and all attendees shall earn two (2) CE credits upon attendance.

The learning objectives for this lesson is to:

  • Identify trauma-culture-biology intersections,
  • List evidence-based interventions; and
  • Apply cultural humility principles.
