Is the Coronavirus Outbreak Stressing You Out?
The recent outbreak of Coronavirus [Covid-19] has left many of us with our Stress Switches on high.
This means irritability, uncertainty, and the inability to think clearly as we navigate this global crisis. Even if you or your family members stay healthy, we are all at increased risk for developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] due to the emotional strain uncertainty can take. Just 1-2 Teletherapy sessions can effectively prevent PTSD and taking some simple steps can lower your risk and keep you healthy and calm during this pandemic.
If you are already experiencing hypervigilance, sleepless nights, images of catastrophe, difficulty concentrating, addictive behaviors, or angry outbursts, we can typically treat these symptoms of Acute Stress Disorder in 5-6 sessions. When symptoms go untreated, the result can be full-blown PTSD, addictions, insomnia, moderate to severe depression, and panic attacks. Should this occur, we can still be successful with treatment, but this typically takes 20 or more hours of therapy along with neurostimulation and neurofeedback– some of which cannot be achieved remotely. The best solution is to get help early on.
Get Help
Don’t hesitate to get preventative help at the first signs and symptoms of difficulty. We are expanding our hours to keep up with demand and Dr. Serin is now taking new patients as well to help efforts to prevent unnecessary trauma and damage above and beyond what we already have to deal with as the virus progresses. Our office remains open for in-office visits, and we are now also offering Teletherapy Sessions so you and your family can get the help you need from the comfort of your own home.
Useful Tools
In the meantime, we offer a very effective sleep bundle in our store that includes our amber glasses that filter out blue light at night. You can put them on two hours before bed to influence your circadian rhythm. This will help you fall asleep faster and have a better night sleep. We also offer with the bundle stress-reducing wearable devices invented by Dr. Serin that help reduce stress within 30 seconds or less.
