Dr. Amy Serin

Areas of Practice

As a top neuropsychologist, Dr. Serin can assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions. Neuropsychology blends clinical psychology with additional intensive training in brain and behavior relationships, allowing Dr. Serin to assess the root causes of what holds a person back from reaching their full potential. Unlike some neuropsychologists, Dr. Serin also specializes in treatment, rather than just assessing and diagnosing, which allows her to provide current recommendations informed by her knowledge and actual experience in helping resolve problems. She developed a neuroscientifically informed intensive dyslexia remediation program combining existing programs and implementing them in a novel order that has helped hundreds of children make significant academic gains over the last several years.

EMDR Therapy and CBT

Dr. Serin’s neuroscience background informs her practice of 1:1 therapy to treat a variety of conditions in children and adults. She is EMDR Institute trained to provide EMDR Therapy and she also supervises therapists and doctoral candidates to be able to provide therapeutic services in the state of Arizona. She also provides various forms of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

Neuromodulation, Neurofeedback, and Bi-Lateral Alternating Stimulation in Tactile Form (BLAST)

Dr. Serin is trained in reading quantitative electroencephalograms (qEEGs) using 3-D mapping, low-resolution electromagnetic tomography (LORETA), 19-channel z-score neurofeedback using wet and dry cap technology, and cranial electrotherapy stimulation. In 2015, she quantified BLAST technology’s effects on the brain and nervous system response and developed TouchPoints, the first non-invasive tech wearables to reduce the human stress response. She integrates these specialties for comprehensive care in her clinics.
